GENTLE YOGA

Instructor:  Becky Lind   
Yoga not only develops strength and flexibility but reduces stress in your life and develops peace of mind. All levels are welcome in this safe, fun way to get started in yoga.  Registration is required by the end of the first week of class. The instructor is a certified Yoga-Fit instructor and has a degree in Recreation and Physical Education. Becky is an ACE (American Council on Exercise) certified trainer. 
Please bring a yoga mat to class.

Minimum participants:  5     Maximum:  17

Tuesdays & Thursdays  -  September 4-25     -     11 am - 12 Noon  (7 sessions)

Cost: $35.00 Members, $70.00 Non-members

No class on September 2.

Please note - this class fills quickly!  You may want to consider the Evening Yoga class on Tuesdays!

 

EVENING YOGA
Instructor: Joy Tkach         

This class is done in a low-lit, quiet room, focusing on a relaxed setting to bring you out of work mode and into a more relaxed state.   We begin with breath awareness, bringing focus to your body so you may find a good comfortable stretch.  Variations are taught to meet different levels of students - so every pose may not look the same on each person.  We end with visualization & meditation in order to help you take the blissful feeling of yoga with you!
Please bring water, yoga mat and towel if possible..

Minimum participants:  5     Maximum:  15
Tuesdays    -  September 9-30    -    5:30 pm—6:30 pm
Cost: $28.00 Members  -   $48.00 Non-Members

No class on September 2.


MEDITATIONAL BREATHING / STRETCHING

Instructor:  Cecelia Reagan                     

Class uses mediatational breathing and stretching, which is very gentle to the body.  Benefits include more muscle flexibility, adding oxygen to muscles and lungs, releasing stress/tension from body & mind, increasing energy level and learning to breathe properly with movement! 

Please bring water and a mat or blanket to class.

PILATES

Instructor: Linda Truman

Pilates is a method of body conditioning that stretches, strengthens and tones the muscles; improves posture, increases flexibility and balance.  The exercises are dynamic (constant motion), gentle, non-impact and done on a mat, with major empahsis on the core muscle groups (torso).  Linda is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor, and a Red Cross Certified CPR & AED.

Please bring a mat and wear comfortable clothing.

Minimum participants: 6     Maximum:  15

Mondays & Wednesdays - September 3-29    -      9:00 am 10:00 am

QIGONG

Instructor: Linda Essex, RN

Looking for exercise that doesn't require a certain level of fitness, special equipment or a gym membership?  This ancient Chinese practice allows you to focus and build strength.

Please wear comfortable loose clothing & heavy socks or tennis shoes..

Learn how to select delicious and nutritious foods - and - enjoy free samples provided by New Frontiers Natural Marketplace.  This workshop is conducte by an A.C.E. Certified Lifestyle & Weight Management Consultant, with over 8 years experience who knows what foods are healthy and taste wonderful!

JAZZERCISE

FITNESS ROOM

Come and work out on the following variety of fitness equipment: treadmill, elliptical exerciser , recumbent bike, free-weights, Hoist 4-station weight machine, exercise mats and balls.  

The Fitness Center is open the same hours as the current schedule for the Adult Center:

Monday - 8:00 am - 8:00 pm

  Tuesday - 8:00 am - 8:00 pm

    Wednesday & Thursday - 8:00 am - 8:30 pm

      Friday 8:00 am - 10:00 pm

        Sundays 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Note hours are subject to change without notification.

Cost: Adult Center Membership required ($50.00) and an additional $50.00 Fitness Room Membership good for 12 months.
